Richie Bolin

Inducted 2026

Richie Bolin, Murfreesboro. Richie first became involved in trapshooting through coaching the first MTCS Rookie Trap Team in 2008, sharing his time and knowledge to help young shooters develop their skills and confidence on the range. He began shooting competitively himself in 2009 to be able to shoot alongside his son Taylor. What started as a way to give back quickly turned into a true passion for the trapshooting sport. Since then, Richie has attained more than 125,000 registered targets and has earned a place on the Tennessee Men’s State Team 13 out of the last 14 years — an accomplishment that reflects his dedication, consistency, and skill in the sport. One of his most memorable achievements came in 2017 in Kentucky when he shot his first 200 straight, competing alongside 12 other non-resident 200/200 shooters; he broke 99 out of 100 in the shoot-off to win the championship. Another accomplishment he holds important came in 2022, when he won the All-Around Handicap Trophy, shooting the best combined scores throughout 200 handicap targets on Friday’s handicap events at the Kentucky State Shoot. He continued adding to his accomplishments in 2025 at the Kentucky State Shoot when he shot his first 100 straight in doubles, another major milestone in his shooting career. He also won the 2023 and 2024 Sub-Veteran Singles Championship at the Tennessee State Trapshooting Championships. Over the years, his involvement has grown far beyond competition, leading him to volunteer countless hours working at the Tennessee State Trap Shoot and supporting the success of one of the state’s premier shooting events. His commitment to trapshooting also earned him a position on the Tennessee State Trapshooting Association board, where he continues to help promote and strengthen the sport for future generations. Richie is a true asset to the Tennessee State Trapshooting Association, and we welcome him to the Hall of Fame.
