Bill Irick
Knoxville, Tennessee
In the late 1960's and early 70's, Bill Irick dominated Tennessee and Southern Zone shoots. In 1970 he became the only the second Tennessean in history to win the Zone Singles championship with a 200, and the first since 1959.
He was Tennessee Handicap champ in 1968, winning a shoot-off of 97's. He was State All-Around champ in 1968 and 1969, won Class A singles with 198 in 1969 and the State Doubles in 1970. He was TSTA President in 1969-70. In the late 60's he operated a sporting goods store in Knoxville, and built the Turkey Creek Gun Club in West Knoxville by hand. His too-short time with us produced 30,825 total registered targets. Bill now lives in Georgia.
